changing the face of aging
Susan Brooks
Research shows that shifting our mindset about aging can add 7.4 happy years to a person's life!

"We're still living with the old paradigm of age as an arch. That's the old metaphor: You're born, you peak at midlife & decline into decrepitude. A more appropriate metaphor for aging is a staircase. The upward ascension of the human spirit, bringing us into wisdom, wholeness and authenticity." ~ Jane Fonda, TedxWomen talk, "Life's Third Act," 2011

    ~ Christine Gannon

  • This was so rich! I loved all of it! I told Gary that I will have to climb Kilimanjaro also. And perhaps get on the cover of Elle in MY birthday suit; the Maye Musk nude was very tastefully photographed. I loved Beatrice Woods' comment about what keeps her young. Age is relative HAHA! Loved the story about your grandma; wish I had met her! "Elders" doesn't even begin to describe these women. "Way-Showers" may be a better term.

    ~ Petra Watjen

Your message is awesome. I agree with you 100% about living life fully...and generously.

    ~ Jill Partridge

I love your message in this newsletter....who am I NOW!!! I'm with you...I love the correlation you made to being a baby boomer, and the fact that we are rebels, and trendsetters...and we can change the future image of aging! I LOVE it! I have no idea what's next for me. But, I know for sure that I want to stand for this theme of changing the perception of aging!!!
